LINKS	George Erickson - author and world traveler George Erickson holds a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. He is a former president of the Minnesota Humanists, a past director of the American Humanist Association, a recent Vice-President of the Minnesota Seaplane Pilots' Assoc. and a former chairman of the Worthington, MN Airport Commission and the Nobles County, MN Art Center. He has served on the New Brighton, MN Environmental Quality Commission. Since 1967 he has made 38 flights through Alaska, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, northern Quebec and Australia. George has published many articles on a variety of subjects and written three books: the best seller, True North: Exploring the Great Wilderness by Bush Plane, the recently released sequel, Back to the Barrens: on the Wing with da Vinci & Friends, and Time Traveling with Science and the Saints. A fourth book titled Eyes Wide Open is available now. His True North and his Bush Flying for Beginners Power Point presentations, which are based on his books and his northern travels, have been seen all across the US and Canada, including the annual convention of Wilderness Physicians in Big Sky, Montana, and repeatedly at AirVenture, the annual convention of the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. in Oshkosh, WI. In addition to making presentations based on his books, George often speaks to Unitarian/Universalist congregations and other groups with topics like: 1. A Spiritual, Non-religious Thanksgiving 2.
