Born To Fly
This book is dedicated to my aviation friends, instructors and marvelous organizations like the EAA who gave me the wings that brought me 60 years of joy and adventures. I am in their debt. The wings they have taken me to the Arctic to share a tent with natives - and to the opposite side of the planet to bask in the sun at a luxurious, Australian resort.
With this book, I sincerely thank you! You (and my wonderful, understanding wife), didn't just make my day, you made my life.
With few exceptions, all the stories that follow really happened, but they are also accompanied by a few that only occurred in my vivid dreams, like refueling my versital Piper Cub from an Air Force tankere high over Hudson Bay.
